This hasn't become a solved problem however, as he finds often that he ostracizes himself due to feeling alien among people that should be his peers.

Victorya
Targur Steelfist used to come from a Garlean conscription project. A controlled population, segregation between the two halves of their local population. That is the environment that he grew up in. And eventually one that he, his two sons, and the most trusted friends, broke free from.Every Hrothgar that went out on a mission was fitted with a ceruleum explosive collar and their field commander was always deployed with the detonator. During an attempted reconnaissance and terrorism attack the conscripts turned on their handlers. Targur climbed the magitek reaper and the desperate conscript managed to kill him even though the commander severed his arm. Before Targur succumbed to his injury and fell from the machine into a ditch.Three days later he woke up in a clay hut with an elezen engineer tending to him. Together they spent a few months addressing his recovery and also designing a magitek prosthetic. But they never heard of what happened to the others who had been in the escape attempt. And the two never exchanged names though they parted on good terms.Later he made his way to Ul'dah where he met a number of people who helped the gentle giant come to learn what some of life in Eorzea had to offer. That he wasn't alone in the world. And where he met a couple that took his life in a severely unanticipated direction-Now he lives with them in Shirogane, happily married to C'allie and L'upus Kyho. With new found-family in his partners, and their partners, that he does everything he can to help support and care for in their day to day life. Working intermittently as an apprentice carpenter as well as a adventurer for hire along with their own trades; none of them really lack for the gil to live their happy (and a touch indulgent) lives. Domesticity is not something he ever dreamed he'd have. And now he has it he couldn't be happier.
Voranoix L'espoir was born to a different family name and a very different social strata. His Ishgardian born roots had him starting life as a son to a carpenter and also an unintended fourth child. This put the family in a bit of a situation. They made due for a number of years though and things were stable, even if they were not comfortable.A short time after Voranoix turned 8 the Lord and Lady of House L'espoir came to the mining village and lumber yard they managed in Coerthas. Taking stock of things as they had before but also asking for a town meeting. The Lord and Lady intended to expand their family and had a request of those under their care, "Whom among you would offer of yourselves or your children to act as caretaker and guard for our children? This is not a request we make lightly, nor is it one we intend to force on anyone. In exchange for service you will be accommodated warmly and we will ensure that your family is compensated. If possible they may even join you at the estate once all preparations have settled."One month later they returned to ask if anyone had agreed to take them up on the offer. Voranoix was one of three potential children and two adults. In the end the L'espoir nobles chose him because taking him into their care and employ would benefit his family the most. Over the next few years he trained in Limsa Lominsa under a guild of quiet knife weilders, was traveled to Gridania to learn the bow, and spent a year and a half in Ul'dah training in proper bodyguard practice by an officer of the Sultansworn. All before returning home to see his family once again, and then to the L'espoir estate. There he apprenticed under the family's aging Butler Of The House until the old man's passing where he took up his mantle, and also began his vigil over the newborn twins of the family. The house of L'espoir had been a quiet one. The noble family had a small estate just outside of the city itself.
In the great balance of wealth versus influence versus status the L'espoir House had significant money and influence as they managed a trade outlet for metals and other materials that helped fund construction and manufacturing efforts. But their Status among the supposedly infinite number of Ishgard's noble houses was abysmal due to their views on reliance on common folk and overly rewarding those who were not aristocracy themselves.Their leeway with the other house nobles and the Holy See had been declining over the last number of generations as they grew more inclined to spend their money on the nation's infrastructure over military concerns. Focusing on the future of Ishgard itself over the Dragonsong War.The family was very candid that this was what brought Voranoix into their employ as a general caretaker and bodyguard for the youngest generation of L'espoir nobles. He was a bodyguard. Provider of food. Educator. And confidant to the you pair of brothers. And they had made sure he had the skills to support the children and himself. And both, should the worst happen to their parents. Thus did Voranoix grow into adulthood and further on until his twenty-fourth year. His presence as a bodyguard turned turned sour in his heart when a message came that the entire family had been killed while traveling and Voranoix had been left to address concerns at the estate.Ambushed by bandits indeed.Word came to him as the caretaker of the estate that the House assets would be claimed by the Holy See and distributed across a few other houses that Voranoix knew had not the greatest opinions of the late family. He spent some time trying to poke around to see if there was anything he could do to make it right, but in the end the great cogs of the aristocracy won and the only victory he won was making sure the staff and underlings of the House were decently accomodated had to be the win he'd accept.Voranoix spent a number of years working as a freelance bodyguard, an overqualified butler, and in the end few of these sat well with him. Too often did his skills and intuition show him how rotten so many of the peers of the late L'espoir family were. So he decided began his work. Through subterfuge, skullduggery, and as-often-as-not blatant assassination the man began an inquiry on the noble houses. Those that abused those under their "care", or whom took advantage of Ishgard's people would end up with very public displays of their antics staged by an anonymous stalker. And in the cases where the Holy See could not, or would not, act upon this public shame? Knives could serve a justice their own.Voranoix had fled Ishgard before the end of the Dragonsong war. In recent years he watches the new government with a suspicious squint but has decided to move on and allow them to at least try to make good on their promises. Now he lives in La Noscea, in a simple house overlooking a seaside cliff with his fiance and a semi-adopted young adult in need of a kind hand to survive the world. Now a step-father and once again a caretaker of a house, he has recommitted himself to holding up the values of the noble house he adopted the name of as they had adopted him.

Nimble and hardy.Sezra'tan is the tenth son of a family that also sports five sisters. And him? He's the youngest of them all. This has (not) given him a little bit of a complex about a need to stand out and do something with himself.Often seen in the Drowned Wench or the Quicksand the young man is as often talking to some heartbroken patron who couldn't afford to pay the Adventurer's Guild's dues as he is talking to the proprietor about where he could do the most to help.Rumor has it that he's not allowed in one of the more popular bars in Ishgard though. Somehting about an asshole not leaving his cousin alone, ending in a broken nose, tankard, window, and Sezra standing on top of two men who were face-down-ass-up with his fists ready asking who else wanted to have a go with this Entialpoh.
